Wedding Ceremony Customs
With very core meaning, wedding ceremony customs make the whole wedding. Exchanging ring, vows, readings, prayer and unity candle ceremony are main customs found in almost every type of the wedding with slight difference.
The Wedding Dress The white gown is worn by the bride representing the virginity of the girl. In case of second wedding, white gown is not worn.
Exchanging Vows The foremost wedding custom is exchanging the vows between bride and groom. It is the sacred promise exchange between bride and groom before witness. The promise is for taking re of spouse for lifetime. The vows are interfaith, religious, simple, non-religious and secular.
Most of the time wedding vows are written in the simple words foe the convenience of bride and groom in the time of pressure. General form of the vow is as follow: I (name), Accept you (Name), To be my (wife/husband), To have and hold, From this day in future, For good or bad, For richer or poorer, To love and to cherish, For whole lifetime.
You can write your own vows according to your thinking. But generally the traditional vows are read.

Exchange of Rings Ring is the symbol of the eternal love without any end like ring between the couple. At left hand ring is worn as symbol of being wedded. In some countries, ring is worn in the right hand. It is for faith, love and romance between the couple for lifetime.
Unity Candles The bride and groom light the unity candle by two different candles showing the unity or oneness of couple for future life. Unity candles can be lit by children of bride and groom from the previous marriage. Sand, rose and water ceremony are the replacement for the unity candles.
The Reading/ Prayer/ Music These are very important and run according to the traditional wedding. Some chants are recited from Bible as reading expressing the love and romance that is called wedding Bible ceremony. Prayers are also for the same intentions.
